PHOTOS: St. James Seminary Celebrates Mega SRC Day

Students of St. James Seminary and Senior High School have held their annual SRC celebrations, Saturday February 8, 2020.

The programme which was organized by the Students’ Representative Council, was of the theme: “The Youth: A Symbol of Hope for the Future.

It was an occasion for schools within thee region to gather, have fun and exchange ideas.

Among the schools present were Sunyani Senior High, Notre Dame Girls SHS, OLA Girls SHS, Sacred Heart Girls Senior High, Our Lady of Providence Girls Senior High, Dormaa Senior High, Techiman Senior High and Methodist Senior High Technical.

Also present were invited guests and some members of the Old Students’ Association led by Dr. Adu Appiah-Kubi, Gynaecologic Oncologist and Lecturer at UHAS, Mr Solomon Baah, business mogul and CEO of Basomon Ltd, Mr Dixon Oppong, Agribusiness Expert and Technical Advisor at GIZ Green Innovation Centres Project, Mr Elvis Appiah Kusi, IT Professional and M&E Manager at Mennonite Development Associates and Rev. Kwaku Ohene Agyei, Tutor at St. James.

The guest speaker, Mr Solomon Baah encouraged the students to dream big and work hard to achieve their dreams. He said the only condition that will guarantee them success is not the fact that their parents are rich, but the commitment they show towards their studies, the actions they take towards passing their exams, believing in their ambitions and staying focussed towards their goals.

The occasion was also used to raise funds to support some projects the SRC plans to deploy.
